images888Social media giant reddit.com has revised its privacy policy.  The new policy goes into effect May 15, 2013.  Until that then, the site has invited viewers/users to comment on it, in a reddit kind of way.  The policy in question provides users with information as to how log data is used, the non-privacy of posts, comments as well as messaging data.  To satisfy strict EU data privacy regulations, it also provides information on the numerous tracking cookies it installs on viewer/user’s browsers.  Considering that personal information is the new currency of the 21st century, privacy policies should start to be considered by online users with as much attention as how secure their money is in their bank accounts.
